Concert: KyoDaiko Drums

Concert: KyoDaiko Drums In-Person

Celebrate AAPI month with KyoDaiko Drums!

Join us for a KyoDaiko drum performance! The concert includes performance pieces interspersed with mini-talks, where the group describes the history of taiko, the different kinds of drums, and their costumes.

KyoDaiko is a Philadelphia-based, community taiko group founded in 2005. All members are volunteers who perform for the love of the art and the energy that the great drums give them. KyoDaiko's mission is twofold: to train and develop taiko players and to expose and educate the general public in the greater Philadelphia area to the art of Japanese taiko drumming. The group performs regularly at a wide range of venues including school and community events, Japanese and Asian festivals, private parties, and even Phillies games!

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library and Wegman's.
