Kids' Chess Club In-Person

For children in grades 3-8. Registration required.

Learn the names of chess pieces, the rules of movements on the board, and basic strategies for playing the game, then pair up with an opponent to play chess games. There will also be open play space for experienced chess players. Presented by teen volunteer Drew McCoy. If the child attending is under 10, an adult must remain in the library to supervise the child and pick them up when the program is over.
