CANCELED Lighthouses of New Jersey

CANCELED Lighthouses of New Jersey In-Person

The New Jersey Lighthouse Society is back with the popular presentation Lighthouses of New Jersey!

During this presentation, attendees will learn details on lighthouse history, structure, and characteristics. Topics include keepers, governance, purpose, and how weather affects lighthouse structures. Historical facts about New Jersey beacons and keepers around the country who were women will be highlighted.

Marilyn Dunning and Alan Jacobson are volunteer presenters for the society. They have been sailors for many years on the Chesapeake Bay, in the Virgin Islands, and in New England. They take tours throughout the United States and Canada to visit lighthouses on land and in the water.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
