Moorestown Library Bioblitz Week

Moorestown Library Bioblitz Week

Join us for our first annual Moorestown Library Bioblitz week! A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible. Scientists can then use this data to track an animal or plant's population, movement, and more. This is a great way to get the whole family outside enjoying nature.

Your mission is to document as many plants, animals, and fungi in Moorestown using the iNaturalist app and posting your discoveries under the Moorestown Library Bioblitz Project. The bioblitz will run from July 13 - July 19. For each organism you enter into the app, you will be entered to win a fun prize! During the week, look for different organisms at parks, on sidewalks, in ponds, and even your own backyard. Be sure to snap a clear picture to upload to the app.

Be sure to document organisms all week! Remember, each entry is one more chance to win a prize!
