Each spring hundreds of thousands of shorebirds stop in Delaware Bay to refuel for their long migration north. What are these birds? Where are they coming from and where are they going? How do horseshoe crabs fuel their migration? Naturalist and photographer Doug Wechsler will answer these questions in an enlightening presentation.

Doug Wechsler ran the world's most comprehensive collection of bird photographs at the Academy of Natural Sciences for 28 years. His work has taken him on expeditions to Borneo, Ecuador, Cuba, Panama, Cameroon, Alaska, and the Philippines. He has been photographing shorebirds in Delaware Bay since 1987. Doug is the author and photographer of 25 books for children including Blowholes Book Gills and Butt-breathersThe Cicadas Are Coming!, and The Hidden Life of a Toad.
