International Cinema Night with Michael: Dirty Pretty Things In-Person
Patrons will enjoy old and contemporary movies from around the world, including but not limited to Europe, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. All films are screened in their original language with English subtitles and a short discussion will follow each film.
This week, join us in watching the British film, Dirty Pretty Things, directed by Stephen Frears. Undocumented immigrants Okwe and Senay work at a posh London hotel and live in constant fear of deportation. One night Okwe stumbles across evidence of a bizarre murder setting off a series of events that could lead to disaster or freedom.
