Historical Reenactment: The Life of a Private in the Civil War In-Person

Join us for the fascinating program The Life of a Private in the Civil War.

In this program, reenactor and lecturer Garry Wetstein discusses the life of a Civil War private in the Union Army. He'll discuss the enlistment process, camp life, and the experiences of battle. There will also be a variety of uniforms, source books and equiptment.

Presenter Garry Wetstein spent many years as a Civil War Reenactor that included speaking to the public at encampments and living histories as well as to school groups, libraries, and book stores. For a number of years, Garry was active in living histories at the Gettysburg battlefield. Currently, he is retired and frequently substitutes for the Moorestown School District.
