Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention

Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention In-Person

Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) flagship suicide prevention education program that covers the scope of this leading cause of death, what the research has found to be the warning signs and risk factors of suicide, and the strategies that prevent it. AFSP's mission is to save lives and to bring hope to those affected by suicide.

Presenter Crysta Miller is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned her Master's of Library and Information Science in 2023. She is currently the Teen Librarian at the Gloucester County Library System. She is a volunteer with AFSP and was personally impacted by suicide during her undergraduate career at Stockton University. Her hope is to bring awareness and normalcy to the conversations surrounding suicide.
