Historical Talk- A Shot Heard Round the World: Spreading the News of April 19, 1775 In-Person
Everyone knows that the American Revolution began with the Battle of Lexington and Concord which occurred on April 19, 1775 but when did the people of the Delaware Valley get the news about the "shot heard round the world"? Here is a hint- when Matt Skic, curator of the Museum of the American Revolution, speaks about "A Shot Heard Around the World: Spreading the News of April 19, 1775" at the library on April 21st, it will be almost the 250th anniversary of that momentous day. This event is part of the Historical Society of Moorestown's New Jersey History Speaks Lecture Series.
