Python Programming Series for Teens In-Person
For students ages 12+.
Registration for all sessions is required.
This 8-session series introduces students to the fundamentals of computer programming using Python. Throughout the course, students will explore core programming concepts, including variables, conditionals, loops, functions, and arrays.
As they progress, students will build hands-on projects such as a Rock-Paper-Scissors game, a calculator, a password generator, and more. Alongside technical skills, the course emphasizes logical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Each session includes interactive lessons, coding practice in Google Colab, engaging Kahoot quizzes, and guided mini-projects.
By the end of the series, students will have completed multiple small programs and will present a final project of their choice to the class.
Please plan on attending each session in the series and bring a fully charged laptop each evening. A limited number of library laptops will be available to borrow.
