World Cinema Night with Michael: Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress In-Person

Patrons will enjoy old and contemporary movies from around the world, including but not limited to Europe, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.  All films are screened in their original language with English subtitles and a short discussion will follow each film. 

This week, join us in watching the 2002 Japanese film, "Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress," directed by Sijie Dai. Two youths sent for a Maoist "re-education" in the mountains fall in love with the village tailor's granddaughter.
