Stylish and cinematic, in this newly restored version of John Woo's iconic 1989 action thriller, disillusioned hitman Ah Jong (Chow Yun-fat) agrees to one final job after accidentally blinding a nightclub singer (Sally Yeh) during a hit gone wrong. Hoping to fund her surgery and escape his violent life, he finds himself hunted by both the triads and a relentless cop (Danny Lee) whose moral code mirrors his own.
