Mount Holly Fair History

Mount Holly Fair History In-Person

The Mount Holly Fair, once the "Great Mount Holly Fair", was an annual event of outstanding importance for 75 years. It evolved from the Burlington County Agricultural Society's original exhibition of farm products at the Court House in October 1847. The fair featured exhibition buildings, midway, vaudeville acts, race track and grandstand, making it a significant part of the community's history. The fair was eventually discontinued in 1926 and found a new home on the Village Green in Lumberton, before moving to Burlington County Fairgrounds in 2011. The fairgrounds were considered the premier fairgrounds on the East Coast, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library and Indian Springs Questers.
