History Talk and Demonstration: Sights and Sounds of the Early Recording Industry In-Person

Take a musical journey to the world of the early 20th century. Hear a voice from as far back as 1899 and hits from 1903 to 1928. This is a multi-medial history of the early recording industry. Attendees will view original 100+ year old machines and will enjoy a demonstration on making an acoustical recording. There will also be a variety of records on display.

Presenter Garry Wetstein has been collecting antique phonographs, records, and literature since 1974. Garry spent many years hosting public speaking engagements and living histories as a Civil War Reenactor at schools, libraries, bookstores, and Gettysburg. Currently, he is retired and frequently substitutes for the Moorestown School District.

Registration is requested but not required; all are welcome to attend.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
