SUMMARY:The Incredible Biodiversity of Costa Rica with Jen Bulava
DESCRIPTION:In January of 2025\, Park Naturalist Jen Bulava and her husband
Damon Noe went on an epic birding and nature tour to Costa Rica. As they
learned on the tour\, few places rival Costa Rica’s ecological diversity.
Over a quarter of the country is protected land\, boasting about 900
species of birds and 200 mammals in an area smaller than West
Virginia. They traveled from the high elevation cloud forest to mid-montane
rainforest\, and finally to the warm Caribbean lowland rainforest. In one
week\, Jen saw over 230 species of birds\, as well as a fantastic array of
reptiles and mammals. The photos and incredible stories from Jen and
Damon’s journey are on display in this presentation showcasing the
 incredible biodiversity of Costa Rica.
