Monday Night Movie and Discussion: Ace in the Hole (The Big Carnival) In-Person
Billy Wilder’s scathing newspaper drama spotlights Kirk Douglas as a down-and-out reporter who takes a job on a small New Mexico newspaper after failing at other jobs. When he discovers that a man is trapped in a collapsed cave, a carnival-like atmosphere surrounds the location of the accident, while Douglas sees the situation as an opportunity to resurrect his faltering career. With Jan Sterling, Robert Arthur.
The program will include a brief intro and discussion after the movie.
